Chem Series Pumps

04.05.2015 The Chem series of gear pumps from Witte has been developed specifically for applications in the chemical processing industry. The use of new materials ensures reliable pump operation even under the most difficult conditions. A specially developed modular system offering a variety of gears, shafts and bearing materials permits each pump to be designed to meet the particular challenges of the application.

For particularly critical applications and media, the pumps can be supplied in a hermetically sealed design with leak-free magnetic coupling, or with ceramic materials for maximum durability. Gear pumps with components made of materials such as SIC or zirconium oxide can have significant advantages over hardened steels in certain chemical applications. A combination of bearings and shafts made of SIC or zirconium oxide can be used at temperatures beyond 300 °C. The material combination SIC/SIC is also well suited for applications with low-viscosity fluids and relatively high differential pressures. The largest pump currently available with ceramic components can handle about 3,000 kg/h.  The manufacturer will also showcase its Chem Mini series at Achema.
