Twin Ferrule Fittings
According to Schwer, this is achieved through four design details: First, the back ferrule affords damping of tube circuit vibrations through a spring-like action. Furthermore, it prevents a carry-over of tightening torque from the coupling nut to the front ferrule. Secondly, the front ferrule circumferentially seals the surface between the tube and coupling. The inner taper of the front ferrule is pressed on the tube to form a pressure-tight impression. Thirdly, silvering of the coupling nut thread prevents seizing of the stainless steel coupling. This enables multi-use of a coupling. Fourthly, a deep pipe bore, and entry taper, enables accurate positioning and centring of the tube. On request, parts can also be supplied in hastelloy, titanium and other highly alloyed materials. Material certification according DIN ISO 10204, ANSI etc., is available on request. Special tests and approvals are also possible if required.
