The rotor diameter is 630 mm. The feeder fulfills two functions: the housing is sealed from the process while material is conveyed at rates of up to 100 t/h. This requires the exact adaptation of the rotor to the housing so that the gap will be reduced and air leakage minimized. High temperatures and pressures normally cause different expansion and deformation of the rotor and the housing. However, the rigid construction of this feeder is designed to compensate for these factors. The housing is heated by an integrated temperature control system which also helps to minimize the gap and cut air leakage.
