Wide Range of Inputs Possible

IS1+ Temperature Input Module

04.05.2015 The 9482 Temperature Input Module from R. Stahl is used for connecting up to 8 intrinsically safe temperature sensors to the company's IS1+ remote I/O system.

Each channel can be used as input for resistance temperature detectors and resistance transmitters in 2-, 3- or 4-wire technology or for earthed/isolated thermocouples and mV sensors. In the „4 channel fast“ operating mode, the very short signal delays achieved allow special applications such as joystick applications or fast temperature measurements. When used with thermocouples, cold junction compensation is performed internally or via an external compensation (3-wire Pt100). The device has been approved for use in various regions: IECEx, ATEX, FM USA/Canada, INMETRO Brazil, TR Russia. Direct integration of different temperature signals is possible in IS1+ remote I/O stations. All common temperature sensors (IEC, DIN and GOST) and connection types (2-/3-/4-wire technology, internal/external compensation, joystick application) can be used with a single module. Having an extended temperature range (-40 to 75 °C), the device is suitable for operation under demanding environmental conditions.
