Thanks to the remote-zoom and remote-focus functions, it is no longer necessary to open the housing. In addition, the integrated optimized-IR LEDs make any supplementary illumination almost entirely unnecessary since, up to a distance of 15 m, the camera provides its own light. The camera is certified according to European (Atex) as well as international regulations (IECEx). The housings‘ certification corresponds to Atex group I with a low risk of mechanical threat and group II for zone 1, 2 as well as 21 and 22 including the explosion groups IIC / IIIC with a high risk of mechanical threat. In accordance with the requirements of the impact and free-fall tests (DIN EN 60079: 0 2012), the housings are suitable for fixed and mobile applications. The temperature range starts at -60 and goes up to 40 °C (without active cooling). Two PTC ceramic heating elements serve to keep the camera free of frost at -60° C.
