The energy flow meter measures energy usage in BTU, MBTU, MMBTU, Tons, kJ, kW, MW and is suitable for retrofit, chilled water and other HVAC applications. As stand-alone flow meter, it can be used for flow measurement of clean liquids but also liquids with small amounts of suspended solids and gaseous liquids. The device offers bidirectional flow measurement within a velocity range of 0.03 to 12 m/s in pipes sizes of DN50 to DN3000 with an accuracy of +/-1% of reading or +/-0.003 m/s and within a temperature range of -40 to 85 °C. Totalisator options deliver quantity measured in flow or reverse flow direction as well as total flow rate. USB 2.0, Modbus RTU and BAC Net MSTP via RS485, Ethernet connection with BAC Net/IP, Ethernet/IP and Modbus TCP/IP protocols are available as output. The meters clamp onto the outside of pipes and do not contact the internal liquid. Clamp-on sensors eliminate the need for in-line flanges, pipe fittings, strainers and filters. With no moving parts, there is no wear – no repair kits or replacement parts are needed. The device may be installed and made fully operational within a few minutes. The meter has a large, easy-to-read two-line digital display with backlight and the rugged, aluminium enclosure ensures a long service life in harsh environments. The series is certified for hazardous area installation in Europe.
