The valve diagnostics including partial stroke testing integrated into the positioners enable faults in pneumatic shut-off valves to be detected at an early stage and malfunctions, such as a seizing up of the valve, to be avoided. Different options are available to start the partial stroke test manually or automatically. The integrated diagnostics are the basis for round-the-clock monitoring of control valves: test data are saved in the positioners and the condensed state according to Namur Recommendation NE 107 indicates the valve status at a glance. The parameters ready configured for shut-off valves and the discrete analysis of the current signal especially for on/off valves round off the benefits of the series. The positioners with on-site operation can communicate using the Hart protocol. Intrinsically safe and flameproof versions are available.
