Infraserv Industriepark Höchst (a4)

With its advanced technical infrastructure, the park is an ideal setting for research and production organizations. Excellent access to international transportation networks and close proximity to valuable procurement, sales and financial markets only heighten the park’s appeal. It benefits from a dense regional network of world-class universities and research institutions, too. Covering more than four square kilometers, the park is a supportive environment for around 22,000 employees at 90-plus companies, ranging from multinational corporations to innovative service providers. Industriepark Höchst’s corporate tenants benefit from its strong business and scientific community. Its momentum is strong. Just consider how much tenants collectively invested in the park in 2017: EUR 328 million. All told, the park has attracted over EUR 7.3 billion in investment since 2000.

Utilities, waste disposal, and efficient, carefully coordinated management of infrastructure, logistics, processes and equipment – these are all reliably handled by Infraserv Höchst. This operator of advanced technical infrastructure is the go-to partner for companies in the chemical, pharmaceutical and related process industries. It has a broad portfolio: from site services, utilities and waste management to facilities management and health, safety and environmental protection.

New Hazardous Substances Warehouse

Infraserv Höchst continues to invest in infrastructure in order to future-proof Industriepark Höchst and hone its competitive edge. Its latest project is a new hazardous substances warehouse – a prospective pillar of the park’s logistics infrastructure. The industrial service provider is investing EUR 27 million in the state-of-the-art facility, which will be erected in the southern sector of the park. The high-performance warehouse will be operated by Infraserv Logistics, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Infraserv Höchst that provides logistics services at Industriepark Höchst and three other sites for a host of customers, most of whom operate in the chemical and pharmaceutical industry.

Construction is scheduled to start in 2019. The new hazardous substances warehouse will cover 16,000 square meters of area and hold 19,400 pallet positions. Measuring 220 meters long, 75 meters wide and 15 meters high, the building will be divided into multiple fire compartments and contain extra storerooms for special requirements. Once commissioned in 2020, the new facility will essentially replace the park’s current hazardous substances warehouses. It will enable much more efficient, cost-effective operations while still meeting stringent safety standards. And it will lay the groundwork for digitizing logistics processes. For all these reasons, the project represents a major milestone in the park’s evolution and a long-term driver of Infraserv Logistics’s competitive positioning.

Infraserv Höchst Prozesstechnik: Service Backed by Deep Expertise

Technical services are absolutely essential to the stability and attractiveness of an industrial site. That’s why Infraserv Höchst Prozesstechnik GmbH was established in early 2018. The new subsidiary offers technical services that support customers’ production processes, organized into three service lines: Asset Management & Engineering, Reliability Management, Pumps and Drives, and Process Analyzers. Its consulting services and holistic maintenance strategies, all built on careful analyses, go a long way toward sustainably improving the availability of sophisticated process equipment. Infraserv Höchst Prozesstechnik, as a manufacturer-agnostic supplier, also provides the services needed to put its strategies into action.

Its employees work at the company’s specialized service center and travel to customers’ facilities in Industriepark Höchst and beyond. To involve customers in key work steps in real time, speed up throughput and thus reduce machine breakdown times, Infraserv Höchst Prozesstechnik has made the use of augmented reality (AR) glasses an integral part of its day-to-day operations. AR glasses make coordination easier and encourage employees to work closely with customers as equal partners – an essential requirement for developing customized maintenance solutions.
